Original Items: One Set Only. Considered the oldest Regiment in continuous active service in the British Army, the Coldstream Guards were first raised in 1650 by General George Monck, the 1st Duke of Albemarle, who led the Regiment from 1650 to 1678. The regiment draws its name from Coldstream, a town in the border regions of Scotland, where the regiment was raised during the English Civil War. It is one of two regiments of the Household Division that can trace its lineage to the New Model Army, the other being the Blues and Royals (Royal Horse Guards and 1st Dragoons).

This uniform bears the Queen's Crown, so it was issued during the reign of Queen Elizabeth II, whose reign began in 1953.

This great set consists of the following items:

- Red Melton Cloth Tunic with very nice regimental Buttons, and Blue collar facings decorated with the Coldstream guards regimental insignia. The tunic still has the original manufacturer and size label, which gives the sizes as: Height 73", Chest 40", Waist 34". In overall great shape.

- Dark blue Coveralls (pants) with thin red line to sides. These are in good condition but have suffered moth damage in decades of storage. The size label is unfortunately missing.

- White General Service buff leather waist belt with brass buckle, which has markings on the inner side.

- Wicker-frame supported bearskin helmet complete with complete brass ring chinstrap. SIze is approximately 56 cm / 7 inches. The helmet bears the red horse hair hackle over the right ear

Original Government surplus, released in 1990, in ready to display condition. Regrettably the Mannequin is not included.
